WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

DOUNE CASTLE

The same castle was used in Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the cocoanut scene (“Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?”), the argument with the French (“Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called “Arthur King,” you and all your silly English K-nig-gits.”), the “Camelot” song and dance routine (“we eat ham and jam and spamalot”), and the Swamp Castle wedding  (“Please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.”)

Legend has it that Pontius Pilate was  the illegitimate son of a Roman official born in Fortingal in the Scottish Highlands.

The first recorded sighting of the Loch Ness monster was by St. Columba in the 6thLOCH NESScentury.  The monster attempted to drown Columba’s servant, but was diverted when Columba  made the sign of the cross and commanded “You shall go no further!”

William Wallace probably never wore a kilt.

Haggis is actually pretty good!
